Sorghum is a genus of numerous species of grasses, some of which are raised for grain and many of which are used as fodder plants either cultivated or as part of pasture. Sorghum is the fifth largest crop in the world after rice, maize, wheat and barley.
Cofarmin Farmer Producer Company Ltd (COFPC) is a 100% women farmer owned FPC with more than 3000 shareholders and members from across the country. The inception of the COFPC is facilitated by India’s apex institution NABARD in collaboration with Nari Utthan Sansthan, as its producer organization promoting institution.
